Abstract :Ⅳ摘要 含水率(1)含水率は400~1,200(%)の高い値を示し、その差も大きい。(2)中心部の基本組織が高く、周辺に次第に減少し、外周は中心部の1/2以下となっている。(3)幹の上部、下部が高く、殊に上端の中心部は1,200(%)の最高値を示している。(4)幹の中央部(1.6m)は低く、上端部の1/2以下である。(5)樹皮も上部、下部が高く、幹材と同傾向であるが、その値は材部より小である。(6)針葉樹材の分布状熊は心材部が低く、辺材部へ増加しているが、ビロウは逆の状態であり、その値も大きい。容積密度数(1)含水率分布と逆の状態で、中心部の含水率の高い処が容積密度数は低い値を示し、外周へ次第に増加している。(2)上端、下端中心部が最小値80kg/m^3、地上高1.1m外周に最大値200kg/m^3を示している。(3)針葉樹材においては分布状態は区々のようであるが、ビロウは中心部が小、周辺部へ次第に値が大となっている。(4)樹皮は関係を見い出せない。
Studies were made on the moisture contents and bulk density of a fresh wood of Livistona chinensis var.subglobosa Becc.which was cut from the ground level to the height of 2.90 m in Urasoeson, from which six pieces were made at intervaIs of 50-60cm.The results were as follows. 1.Moisture contents A.The moisture contents of various parts measured ranged from 400 to 1,200(%). B.The fundamental tissues in the central part of the wood were high in moisture contents. It was gradually lowered toward the outward tissues.It was one-half of the central part in the outermost tissues. C.It was high in the upmost and lowest parts of the wood. Especially the central part of The upmost piece showed the highest value(1,200%). D.lt was lowest in the middle part (1.6m from the base) of the wood, being less than one-half of the upmost part. E.The bark also showed the same tendency with the wood, showing high value in the upper and lower parts. But the values were smaller than those of the wood. 2.Bulk density A.The bulk density was the reverse of the water contents, the central part of the wood being lowest and increasing toward the outer parts. B.It was lowest in the central parts of the upmost and lowest edges (80kg/m^3) of the Wood. It showed the highest value in outer part of the piece at the height of 1.1m. C.The bark could not be measured.
