Abstract :1. One hundred and sixtynine samples of sixtynine localities taken from Minamidaito, Kume, Iye, Tonaki, Iheya, Tokashiki, Zamami, Aha, Geruma, Sesoko, Izena and Aguni Islands were tasted by Spurway Soil Test Kit for the same purpose as in the previous reports. 2.Magnesium wascontained moderately high in all samples, so there is little possibility of magnesium deficiency. 3.In the soluble iron, many samples gave low test results which indicate the possibility of iron deficiency. 4.Many samples gave low test results in manganese which indicate manganese deficiency. Some samples from Minamidaito lsland were high in manganese content which may indicate manganese toxicity for certain crops. 5.Test for sulfates were negative in all of the soil samples. This indicates SO_4^<-->content is below toxic level. 6.Tests of other than the above elements were also made and the results are summarized as follows: a) NO_3^-and NH_4^+ content were generally low in most soil samples. b) Phosphorus content in most samples was very low and many of them gave less than 1ppm by the reserve tests. C) Samples taken from 23 localities gave high test results in potassium. Most of other samples gave generally low test results in K^+. d) Ca^<++>content of most samples from Minamidaito lsland was relatively low in spite of these soils are derived from Ryukyu limestone. e) Al^<+++>,C1^- and No_2^- were all below toxic levels. 7・Elements other than the avove were not tested because the Spurway Soil Test Kit does not have such testing method.
