Title :The Pressure of a Non-interacting Electron System of a Finite Number of Particles at Zero-Temperature

Abstract :The pressure of a non-interacting electron system of a finite number of particles is calculated with the basis on quantum theory and "semi-classical" theory at zero-temperature. The result is compared with the pressure of a free electron gas of an infinite number of particles given by statistical mechanics. It is found that the result approaches the one of statistical mechanics when the particle number is enormously increased, keeping the particle number per unit volume constant.
