Abstract | : | The finite element method may be defined as the modern "Method of Weighted Residuals" (MWR). This paper describes how to solve the differential equations which are essential in order to explain quantiatively a number of valuable geological and geodynamic problems.
The methods to solve linear differential equation, non-linear equation, non-linear non-steady equation, Laplace equation and incompreeible New tonian flow problem are explained by means of the Galerkin finite element method. |
