Title :ネピアグラス (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach) の生産性及び飼料価値に関する研究 : 6. 刈取り高さが生産に及ぼす影響(畜産学科)

Abstract :ネピアグラスの生産に及ぼす刈取り高さの影響を検討するため,刈取り高さ10cm区(10区),25cm区(25区)及び40cm区(40区)の3試験区を設定し,1984,1985年の2年間栽培試験を実施した。生草及び乾物収量,純同化率,最大収量生長速度,乾物収量の相対生長率,葉面積比はともに試験区間に有意差は認められなかった。しかし,最適葉面積指数は1980年の40区と10区間に5%水準で有意差が認められた。茎数,茎重,草丈,一茎当り葉数,一葉当り葉面積,葉重比及び葉面積指数はともに試験区間に有意差は認められなかった。以上の結果から刈取り高さがネピアグラスの生産に及ぼす影響については僅かに最適葉面積指数においてのみ試験区間に有意差が認められ,乾物収量及び茎数等の収量構成形質にはほとんど差がなかったことから,刈取り高さが生産に及ぼす影響は少ないものと推察される。
A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of cutting heights on the yield of napier grass (Pennisetium purpureum Schumach). The grass was grown on a calcareous soil, which is one of the typical soil calledJaagaruin Okinawa. Three plots were set up in the experiment for changing cutting heights of 10,25 and 40cm. The grass was cultivated for two years from 1984 to 1985. The results obtained were as follows : The dry matter yield produced 5.03,5.21 and 5.36 tons in 1984,and 4.99,5.06 and 4.91 tons in 1985 per 10 are per year at the 10,25 and 40cm cutting height, respectively. The net assimilation rate (NAR), maximum crop growth rate (max. CGR), relative growth rate (RGR) and leaf area rate (LAR) were not significantly affected by cutting height but optimum leaf area index (opt. LAI) increased with height of cutting height. The number of tiller, weight of a tiller, grass length, leaves per tiller, leaf area per leaf, leaf weight ratio and leaf area index were not significantly affected by cutting height. From these results, it seemed that the yield of napier grass was affected a little by cutting height.
