Abstract :亜熱帯環境下飼育黒毛和種の生理的適応現象を明らかにするため, 黒毛和種を供試し, 畜舎-人工気候室内(20℃・85%-30℃・85%)の実験における3環境条件区の生理諸元, 血液及び第一胃内液等を測定し, 比較検討した。畜舎内29℃・86%-人工気候室内20℃・85%-30℃・85%の3実験区における, 直腸温, 心拍数及び呼吸数において, 畜舎内でそれぞれ38.60±0.16℃, 70.4±2.1回/分及び38.7±4.2回/分であったが, 人工気候室内20℃・85%で38.19±0.12℃, 59.2±3.2回/分及び19.4±2.8回/分と有意に減少した(P<0.01)。また, 人工気候室内30℃・85%で38.88±0.20℃, 79.0±1.9回/分及び64.2±6.1回/分と有意に上昇を示した(P<0.01)。赤血球数, 白血球数, Ht値, Hb量, 赤沈速度, 血糖値, FFA, 血漿アルブミン量, 血漿遊離コレステロール量, 血漿サイロキシン量, 総蛋白質量, 尿pH, 第一胃内液pH及び採食量において, 3実験区間に有意な差異はなかった。第一胃内プロトゾア数は旋毛類, 全毛類及び両者の総数において, 3実験区共に9 : 00の値より21 : 00の値の方が有意に高かった(P<0.01)。以上のことから, 亜熱帯地域沖縄県下で畜舎内飼育黒毛和種は主に心拍数, 呼吸数及びその他の物理的調節作用によって, 生体恒常性の維持を保って, 高温・多湿環境(8月)下に適応していることが示唆された。
The experiments on Japanese Black cattle were conducted in order to study their physiological responses in their adaptation to a subtropical environment in which the cattle were fed in a livestock barn. These physiological responses were measured by blood composition, rumen juice protozoa and some other means under the following conditions : 29℃・86% in the barn, 20℃・85% at one environment in the climate chamber and 30℃・85% at another environment in the climate chamber. The cattle were compared under the three environments of this experiment. Rectal temperature, heart rate and respiratory rate significantly decreased from respectively 38.60±0.16℃, 70.4±2.1 beats/min and 19.4±4.2 breaths/min in the barn to 38.19±0.12℃, 59.2±3.2 beats/min and 19.4±2.8 breaths/min at 20℃・85% in the climate chamber (P<0.01), and 38.88±0.20℃, 79.0±1.9 beats/min and 64.2±6.1 breaths/min at 30℃・85% in a chamber were significantly higher than those at 20℃・85% in a chamber. There was no significantly change in the values of erythrocyte, leucocyte, hematocrit and hemoglobin or in erythrocyte sedimentation rate, plasma glucose, plasma free fatty acid, plasma albumin, plasma cholesterol, plasma thyroxine, plasma protein, urine ph, rumem juice ph and feed intake in each of three environments. However, ophryosolecidae, isotrichidae and total protozoa in rumen were significantly higher at the time 21 : 00 than at 9 : 00 in each of these three environments (P<0.01). The results mentioned above suggest that animals adapt themselves to high temperatures and high relative humidity in a subtropical zone. Japanese Black cattle fed in a barn in Okinawan subtropical zone generally maintain their homeostasis and productions (growth, reproduction, and etc.) by using physiological elements that regulate body temperature.
