Title :沖縄におけるトマトの砂栽培について(農学部附属農場)

Abstract :(1)pHが8.15∿9.2の強アルカリ性の沖縄の海砂を培地に使用して過去4年に亘りトマトの砂栽培を試みた。(2)肥料はOKF-1の500倍液(PH6∿7,EC2.1)を5l/m^2で, 週2∿3回施用した。(3)栽培ベットは第1図の通り舟底型の隔離ベットで底部に砂利を敷きその上に15∿20cm厚の砂を敷き詰め栽培床とした。(4)排水が良くなり湿害は皆無でアルカリ障害や微量要素欠乏症の発生が全く認められなかった。(5)茎・葉の生育や果実の着果肥大は順調に行なわれ各果房の平均着果数は4.6個, 平均果重は237gで尻ぐされ病等の発生は全く認められなかった。(6)強アルカリ性の海砂でのトマト栽培が可能となり, 土耕に比較して湿害, 塩類集積, 連作障害が解消され, また養液栽培に比較して培養液調節, 培養液温度調節, 酸素補給が不要である。したがって本栽培法は土耕栽培法および養液栽培法の問題点を補う新しい栽培法と言えよう。(7)本栽培は土壌が不要であるため劣悪土壌地帯や市街地のベランダや屋上での栽培, 施設園芸の新しい培地として有望である。
(1) Tomatoes were successfully grown for 4 years in sand culture using coral sand of Okinawa as a culture medium, which was storongly alkaline showing PH8.15 to 9.2. (2) A fertilizer OKF-1 was diluted five hundred times (pH6-7,EC2.1) and applied to tomatoes at at a rate of 5l/m^2 two to three times aweek. (3) As shown in figure 1,the culture bed was formed into isolated type of the bilge shape. Gravels were put out at the bottom of the bed, and sands of 15∿20cm thick were piled on them. (4) Growth of stems and leaves progressed favorably as well as bearring and development of fruits. Average number of fruiting at each cluster was 4.6 and mean weight of fruits was 237g. In addition, any black end desease was not observed quite at all. (5) Deficiency of trace elements was not observed. Problems of wet injury, solt accmulation and sickness due to continuous cropping were solved this culture method. Furthermore, there was no need to control, temperature, oxygen supply and concentration of differing from solution culture. Cultivating tomatoes on the strongly alkaline coral sand was prooved possible by the present method. on the present method. On the basis of these results, the sand culture deserved above should also be recommended as a method in supplanting soil culture and solution culture that have some disadvantage. (6) This culture method might be promising for application introduced to inferior soil areas and cultivation at verandahs or roofs in urban communities because it dose not need any soil. Moreover it may be applied for protected culture as a new type culture method.
