Title :甘藷茎葉のメタン発酵 : 第 1 報 小型容器を用いた発酵(農芸化学科)

Abstract :甘藷茎葉を馴養したスラッジと混合しpH7.5,37℃でメタン発酵を200ml容注射筒を用いて行ない, ガス生成経過, 発生ガス量及び発生ガス中のメタン含量等について調べた。生茎葉を15日間メタン発酵して得られる総発生ガス量は乾重g当り347mlで, その88%は発酵8日間で発生した。発生ガス中のメタン含量は58%であった。発酵初期には発酵液のpH及び発生ガス中のメタン含量は低いが, 発酵の進行に伴い上昇した。生茎葉を8日毎, 半連続的に添加したメタン発酵での総発生ガス量は乾重g当り533mlで, メタン含量は60%であった。乾燥茎葉を10日間メタン発酵して得られる総ガス発生量は乾重g当り393mlで, その80%は発酵6日間で発生した。発生ガス中のメタン含量は63%であった。発酵3日目に酢酸及びプロピオン酸の発酵液への蓄積がみられたが, 発酵4日目以後は減少した。乾燥茎葉を4日毎, 半連続的に添加した発酵で発生する総ガス量は乾重g当り422mlで, メタン含量は62%であった。乾燥茎葉からの1日当りの発生ガス量は生茎葉の約1.3倍高い値が得られた。
Methane fermentation using sweet potato stalks and leaves as the substrate was carried out at 37℃ in a 200-ml syringe containing the sludge which was previously acclimated to the same substrate, and the following results were obtained. The total gas evolved from fresh stalks and leaves was 347ml per dry g of the substrate with a methane ratio of 58% in 15 days of fermentation. About 88% of the total gas was evolved in 8 days. At the early stage of fermentation, the pH of the mash and the methane content of the gas evolved were low, and rose gradually during the fermentation process. When fermentation was carried out by the addition of fresh stalks and leaves at 8-day intervals, the total gas evolved was 533ml per dry g of the substrate with a methane ratio of 60%. The total gas evolved from dry stalks and leaves in 10 days fermentation was 393ml per g of the substrate with a methane ratio of 63%. About 80% of the total volume of gas evolved in 6 days. Acetic and propionic acids acumulated in the mash after 4 days of fermentation and decreased gradually during the fermentation process. When fermentation was carried out by the addition of dry stalks and leaves at 4-days intervals, the total gas evolved was 422ml per g of the substrate with a methane ratio of 62%. This gas production per day of fermentation was 1.3 times higher than that from fresh stalks and leaves.
