Abstract :ネピアグラスの刈取間隔を4週間隔, 5週間隔, 6週間隔および7週間隔の栽培試験を実施し, 刈取間隔がネピアグラスの生産構造および吸光係数におよぼす影響について検討した。1. 群落の生産構造は4,5,6週区はほぼピラミット型を示したが, 7週区は群落の中層部に最大葉面積層が分布した。相対照度は各区ほば同様な低下傾向を示した。また, 最下層の茎数は刈取間隔が長くなるにしたがって減少した。2. 吸光係数は4週区0.495,5週区0.419,6週区0.340,7週区0.308で刈取間隔が長くなるにしたがって小さくなり, 各試験区間に0.1%水準で有意差が認められた。また, 吸光係数と乾物収量およびLAIとの間には0.1%水準で有意な負の相関が認められ, LAIが増大し, 吸光係数が小さくなるにしたがって乾物収量は増加する傾向が認められた。
A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of cutting intervals on the productive structure and light extinction coefficient in the napier grass population. Four plots were set up with the cutting intervals of 4,5,6 and 7 weeks. The results obtained were as follows : 1. The productive structure of the grass population showed somewhat a pyramidal shape on the plots with 4,5 and 6 week-cutting intervals. Whereas the intermediate strata were found to have the highest leaf area on the plot with 7 week-cutting intervals. The relative light intensity tended to decrease the same shape from upper to the lower strata. The number of tillers at the lowest strata decreased with the length of cutting intervals (Fig. 1). 2. The light extinction coefficient (K) were 0.495,0.419,0.340 and 0.308 with the cutting intervals of 4,5,6 and 7 weeks, respectively. And K indicated significated decrease with the length of cutting intervals (Fig. 2). There were highly significant negative correlation between K and dry matter weight, K and leaf area index (Fig. 3). From the results, it was considered that the dry matter yield of the napier grass would be increased by extending the intervals of cutting which cause a decrease of K.
