Abstract :結晶の存在があらかじめ認められた沖縄産広葉樹材51種の結晶と結晶細胞を観察した。1.すべての供試材中の結晶はシュウ酸カルシュウムであった。2.結晶の形状には方形ないし菱形と集晶の二つのタイプが認められた。3.Ilex属の樹種間に結晶細胞の違いが認められた。4.結晶を含んだ典型的な異形細胞がヒカンザクラ材の軸方向柔組織と放射組織中に観察された。5.フクギ材には放射組織中にシリカが, 軸方向柔組織中に菱形の結晶が認められた。
Crystals and crystalliferous cells in fifty-one Okinawan hardwoods, possessing crystals, were investigated to obtain the imformation of species identification. 1. Crystals in all of experimental woods were calcium oxalate and these forms were rhomboidal or square-shape and druse. The latter was present only in Macaranga tanarius and Hibiscus tiliaceus. 2. Crystalliferous cells in the wood of the genus Ilex were different between species of the same genus. That is, the crystals in I. rotunda, I. integra, I. Waturgii, and I. liukiuensis were present in upright, square and procumbent cells, but those in I. goshiensis were present in upright and square cells, and in I. Mutchagara were present in square and procumbent cells. 3. In Garcinia subelliptica, the crystals in axial parenchyma and silica in ray parenchyma were observed. 4. Typical idioblast contained the crystal was present in axial and ray parenchyma of Prunus campanulata.
