Abstract :本学術報告16号 : 14頁に図示し, 前報キュウリの施肥試験で補足説明したベッドを4つ用いてスイートコーンに対する給水頻度試験と, 別に1つのベッドを設定して蒸発量試験を行った。1969年7月17日にA, B, C, Dの各ベッドに75cm×50cm間隔に16点播し, 1株2本支立てで32本を8m^2に栽培した。肥料は週1回, 住友液肥2号を40ccずつ施した。水はA, B, C, Dベッドにそれぞれ毎日, 隔日, 3日に1回, 6日に1回, 貯水管の容量32ℓに達するように補給した。Eベッドは裸地状態にして水は毎日定時に補給し, その蒸発量を測定し, 各栽培ベッドの蒸発散量との比較を行なった。結果は第1表と第1図に示したとおり, Cベッドにおいてもっともよい成績が得られた。EベッドはAベッドよりも水を多く消費した。A, Bベッドでは生育後半, 植物体が大きくなるにつれて消費水量はすくなくなっていった。
Four beds as shown in page 14 of the science bulletion (No. 16,1969) and supple-mentally explained inStudies on water and fertilizer appling culture by capillary movement 111. Cucumber fertilization trialsby Choju Tomoyose and Misao Nakama in this bulletin were used to find the proper frequency of water supply to sweet corn. And one bed was used to find the amounts of evaporation without any planting. Seeds were sown in 16 spots in each bed (A, B, C, and D), spacing 75cm×50cm, 4 seeds in one spot on July 17,1969,and thinned out leaving 2 plants per spot. Fourty (40)cc of liquid fertilizer (Sumitomo Ekihi No. 2,10-5-8) were put into the water-storage pipe of each bed once a week. Water was poured into the water-storage pipes of Beds A, B, C, and D every day, every other day, once in three days, and once in 6 days respectively to fill the capacity of 32 liters. Bed E was left naked to measure evaporation suppling water every day. Results are shown in Table 1 and Fig. 1. The plants were harvested on September 24 because of the expected typhoon on 26th. (The period of cultivation was 70 days.) Bed C performed best. Bed E consumed greater quantities of water than Bed A. In Beds A and B daily loss of water was reduced as the plants grew. It is considered that evaporation is lowered and natural capillary water from underground is absorbed as plants grow.
