Abstract :This paper is to analyse the three subunites with the seasonal, school events, and problem of life-unites learning in 9 schools for the mentally and physically hanndicapped in Okinawa prefecture. The results are as follws : (1) The three subunites of life-unites learning are repeated so many times through the elementally school level so that teachers' teaching patterns and children's learning of them became stereotype. (2) Typical characteristic of life-unites construction is that shool events unites are the most in number and seasonal and problem are next to them. This means whether children's mental development shows serious or teachers' professional discussions on what the life-unite is to the children are rather weak. (3) Lively consideration by teachers seems not to be seen to the effects in regard to graded promotion of development when they make up a whole life-unite curriculum for the handicapped.
