Abstract :1件。1丁。戌年4月。
A letter of request to the Government from Peechin Miyara and Peechin Oohama. The specific addressee is unknown. It appears to be a draft letter as corrections were made. Due to the delay in the reporting of Kakoidaka as ordered by the Government, Miyara and Oohama suggested getting an estimated figure from the Yaeyama officials who were on their way to the mainland. Kakoidaka is also sometimes written as kakoikome and refers to the backup supply of rice for a year with bad harvest. Usually, the production capacity of kakoidaka is determined in consideration of past situations and then reported. With regard to that, since the Government had a warship stopping over at Yaeyama Island, they were ordered to make an extra offering of 323koku of rice.
