Draft letters to the Leaders
Authors :-
Abstract :1件。5丁。同治2(1863)年。
Matsumo, Tousou's draft letters addressed to elites of mainland Okinawa in 1863. As written at the beginning, these were express posts delivered via hissen (fast boat). The addressees were Oyakata Fukuyama, Oyakata Hamahiga and Peechin Ameku. Greeting letters and two letters of thanks were sent to Oyakata Fukuyama and Hamahiga, while a letter congratulating the inauguration as denchibugyou was sent to Peechin Ameku. Furthermore, as Peechin Ameku just returned to mainland Okinawa last year from Yaeyama, the letter also revealed their personal friendship. The letter also wrote of the safe birth of a boy by a woman named Kamado, although its relationship with Peechin Ameku is unknown.
