|Abstract ||:||As well known, the most of universities in Japan are now faced with such new problems as conducting the consistent educations in each faculties with four (six) years, accompanying dissolving of "kyouyou-bu" (the leaning stage of liberal arts), self-evaluating containing the teaching appraisal by students.
In this paper, I intend to make a comment for the reconstruction of university faculties of education.
The main remarks are as follows:
(1) This trend is regarded as a big turning point of the higher education system established since world war 2. Therefore, the keynote is how we should comprehend the implications of it.
(2) If there should be needed drastic changes, we should take into account the viewpoint of "the shift to the lifelong learning system". Because it seems to lead the prospective measure for restructuring of the higher education system.
(3) The most important thing of all is how the higher education system is able to have many sorts of flexible passages, that is to say, "vertical and horizontal connections for learning", and remake the structure function as a providing to realize that.
(4) The way of reconstruction of the faculties of education should be shown from it. It is nothing of course to say that the faculties of education should accept such a new principle of education.|
